Deborah Reesor

With over twenty years of experience, my knowledge base includes theories of intervention, concepts and theories of human development through the lifespan, mental health, family functioning, group behaviour and the broader socio-political processes that shape society.

I have provided service to individuals, couples, families and groups in the form of counselling, crisis intervention and therapy as well as advocacy and the coordination of resources.

As a clinical social worker I have a strong preference for helping people through difficult life transitions in an atmosphere that promotes respect and trust.

The collaborative team practice approach to working with separating and divorcing couples reflects my core values. The approach allows clients to express their feelings and needs in an atmosphere of mutual respect, and to achieve shared solutions.

If there are children involved, how we as parents negotiate any life crisis will be ultimately reflected in the course of their lives.
